Cuban musical legend concludes successful promotional tour in Puerto Rico

Tomas Diaz & His Orchestra to Perform Live in Miami in August

Miam i, FL - August 5 , 2015-  Since the release of his debut single "Suky," a true hybrid and fusion of genres that represents and brings together the musical influences collected during his career, off his solo debut album due out in the fall of 2015, legendary Cuban musician and Latin GRAMMY nominee,  Tomas Diaz , has been touring in support of this record, and his recent Puerto Rican visit proves the success he has had among the islanders and vicinity.

A week of radio stations visits, TV appearances and interviews with top local newspapers and tastemakers, was the gateway to a swift increase of video views. The video for the commercial dance hit "Suky" including cameos from Flavor Flav, Erik Estrada, Dan Le Batard, Alicia Machado, Carlos Oliva, Karent Sierra, Pepe Billete, and Peter La Anguila, is seeing an increase of 100,000 YouTube views in just one week after his Puerto Rican promo run. The video has over 500,000 views on VEVO/ YouTube combined.

The promotional visit took-off the day of the inaugural ceremony of the Cuban Embassy in the United States. Media had the chance to get the artist's remarks, who in 1978, was incarcerated for nearly two years for his pro-American beliefs. Since then, Tomas Diaz has gone from touring with Phish, backing for Bruce Springsteen, collaborating with Celia Cruz, Clarence "Big Man" Clemmons, Snoop Dogg, ChayanneRicky Martin, and many others, founding Spam Allstars, which recently celebrated their 20 year anniversary, and launching a successful solo career.

An exhilarating visit, the Suky ensemble engaged radio programmers and TV celebrities alike who shared the stage along the colorful dancers and characters. "The TV show where we had Tomas Diaz and his 'Suky' has been one of the most enthusiastic and fun shows we have done in a long time," commented Alexis Roman, producer of the top show, Viva La Tarde, on WAPA TV.
